Arthur,
The start of this thread has not been deleted, it has been archived. Only posts made after the archive date are shown on this page, older posts on the same thread are on the archive page of the date they were made. However if you look on the bottom of the post, you will see the entire list of posts on this thread.
Also, I must warn you that I believe your understanding of the Please Be Civil process is mistaken. Please Be Civils are not given repeatedly. After one Please Be Civil is given a poster may be blocked at any time for one week. At the following incivility, the poster may be blocked for two weeks, then doubled each time.
The only time multiple Please Be Civils are given is if the poster made all posts before any administrative action was taken.

Yes, that's the general rule:

> The only time multiple Please Be Civils are given is if the poster made all posts before any administrative action was taken.
And that's what happened in that case.
But sometimes there are exceptions. I may feel blocking someone isn't the best way to go and just give them another PBC. But I try to minimize exceptions, because they can lead to other problems...

Yes, of course, Dr. Bob. I wrote that in a hurry and did not express myself terribly well. I just wanted to make it clear that once a Please Be Civil warning was given, a poster *could* be blocked the next time. Not that they necessarily *would* be. Sorry. I do realize that you use context and judgement in your administrative decisions. :)

No need to apologize, I know *you* know, I just wanted to set the record straight.
