Ooh, my hypomanic love for metaphor was kicked into overdrive by your words. I could go on and on. But I won't (this time).
I imagine that this place is never as safe as a swimming pool. That's why we have a lifeguard (Dr. Bob). There are hidden undercurrents and sharp drop offs that can get you in over your head before you know it. And I really have to learn that I just don't swim well enough myself to try to save someone in trouble, so I should stick to the shallows when the lifeguard is taking a well deserved break.
But there are also safe pools here and it's probably always ok to play in those areas. Just make sure you use the buddy system and don't swim too soon after swallowing anger.
Ooh, I can be obnoxious when I'm hypomanic. :D
