Them's Blockin' Words--for Sandra Dee

Posted by beardedlady on July 10, 2002, at 19:27:26

Sandra Dee:

Welcome back, and so long. You had a right to expect fairness. And you are owed an apology for an unjust block, as you had every reason to believe repeating my words would fall within the bounds of civility.

> Also sad when a block goes even a day longer than it should, (especially an unjust blocking) with only a "tee hee - oops" about it.

But an accidentally extended unjust block and a "tee hee - oops" on top of it? Well isn't that so cute of Dr. Bob?! I suppose that's the definition of civility. Well, that's not even as gracious an apology as "my bad." In fact, it's fucked up is what it is.

A man who is unable to apologize. Now that's a new one.

Angry (and now blocked--yippie!) Beardy : (>>>>>>>>>

P.S. Lou? I haven't read a word you've written in weeks, and I'm not about to start.

I sure have missed you, and appreciate all the support I got. I sure did not understand why I got blocked for repeating the same thing you said. I agree with you - why was your intent justified good, while me saying the same thing was bad.... dunno.
Dr. Bob did say: "She's unblocked. But to be honest her time was up yesterday. Sorry about not remembering! Krazy Kat, too. If she's still around..." So I guess I got an apology, but sure sounded like a TeeHee to me.... ya know? Not that I expect a bended knee, but sincerity, right?
Do you open chat? I hope to see you around, I miss your wit.

Beardedlady,
You saud that you do not read my posts and are not about to start.
When I first came to this board, you were one of the first posters that I had an opportunity to converse with. You also defended me many times.
I read all of your posts. I see an angry poster now, not like before. You have drastically changed. Somewhat like the great novel, "Dr. Jeckell and Mr. Hyde." Which side is the real Beardedlady? Would you tell us?
Lou

I'm sorry for my comments to Dr. Bob in your post. "Sorry about not remembering!" is worth quite a bit more than a "my bad" and is pretty much the opposite of a "tee hee - oops." It may have sounded similar to you, but I wouldn't have used the f-word had I known you weren't quoting him from some private e-mail or post I hadn't read.

Anyway, I'm sitting here waiting for my block, surprised that it didn't come last night. Maybe Bob had a hot date?

And I didn't mean to mis-quote... » beardedlady

I sure didn't mean to mis-quote either, it did sound like it was a tee-hee to me. That's why I came back with his exact post. This whole situation hits me really hard, because my personality was attacked... my core, and I feel it was unjust (and I wasn't the only one). I'm pretty over that all now but still hard to know that he didn't budge, even for all the people besides me that wanted to leave and had expressed feelings. I'm sorry I made you post something you didn't mean to.
Anyhow, nuff said? (also glad they caught the little thiefs)
