Just wondering - do you have some kind of policy or criteria for which questions on PBA you respond to and which ones you don't? (I ask this because I think I must be posting the *wrong* type of questions here since they are generally not answered by you, while many others are).
What is your policy/criteria for responding/not responding to PBA questions? Thank you!

Could you explain why you posted the *warning* to me about the questions? I'm getting worried ... what did I do wrong? Thanks.

Honey, it was meant to be funny, to remind you with a smile that to cut DB some slack. It's been a hard week, all round. Hope you had a good week. . .I bet there are others here who can answer some of your questions. . maybe start a thread with a question and see who replies!
Take care--and relax! Really!

I think you may have missed my question to you in that thread I had started above about my "fresh, new perspective" ... could you please go up there and respond to that one? Thanks! :-)

Hey there, I'm muddling through ... thanks for the suggestion ... I post the questions I do here becuz they're admin in nature and figured this would be the board for them.
I'm probably also just feeling paranoid, but I've noticed that DB answers almost all the questions posted here but mine ... I fear he might be avoiding me ... probably thinks I'm a pain in the butt ... guess I can't blame him ... time for me to lay low on the non-med questions!

Zo, you mentioned that last week was a hard one and CtrlAlt n Del, you mentioned that DB has been busy ... so I'm wondering ... was there some trouble on a board here somewhere that DB had to try to *fix* or something? Just curious ... I feel bad for the guy if he's getting overwhelmed by continuous problems ...

Janelle,
I don't know if there was one thing in particular that has been problematic for Dr B. Our group has had a lot of requests for info, such as yours, which I think are answered on the FAQ page, and by his posts above in the one begun by Beardedlady: "Question about Blocking-Dr. Bob". I think, paraphrasing here, that he is saying he has a lot of tough calls to make, and that he's asking us to trust him to take care of the safety of the Board in the ways he sees fit. And that he cannot always read everything every day, so if he misses something, he may have to issue two PBCs at once, etc.
I realize that you may feel that you have borne the brunt of the seeming inconsistencies in his methods, and I may agree (and I may not, as Dr B would say!) I do understand that. However, you seem to have had an insight-ful time off :-] But perhaps reading that thread again would help...? Dr B appears pretty apologetic, maintaining at the same time that we won't always agree, and that we might have to agree to disagree, maybe, in order to make the Board run smoothly, and not get overly caught up in rules he can't always explain sufficiently to members here?
Another thing: Dr B is a therapist in the student psych services section at Univ. of Chicago:
http://counseling.uchicago.edu/vpc/virtulets.html#Anger
(see the bottom of that page: site developed by Robert Hsiung, MD, U. Chicago, etc.)
AND we know that this time of year is THE MOST STRESSFUL of all for college students everywhere. So 'regular' work may well be incredibly difficult and stressful for him and colleagues there, and catching up with the PBabble boards may be the last thing on his mind?... (This guy deserves an end-of-semester party!)
Just some thoughts... I'm sure there are other things we can't even divine!
Your friend,
Wendy

Hi there Wendyb (CHECK YOUR E-MAIL! :-))
Thank you for being so kind to me and so thoughtful with your posts to me about my concerns. It means a lot to me. I must admit that among my foibles is over-sensitivity and some other things I put in the e-mail to you!
Anyway, thanks for taking the time here to explain and shed valuable light on Dr. Bob's full, busy and probably stressful life.
I do know that Dr B is a therapist in the student psych services section at Univ. of Chicago - where did you find that great link to the site he developed? Did you do a search on Dr. Bob? Just curious.
Thanks again for all you said.
Your friend too,
Janelle
