Mark,
It turns out I am in fact able to get online, but my access is going to be limited. Please block What The Dillio (since he should know better) and delete:

That was one message I was going to reply to but changed my mind. I was thinking "while the doc's away, the mice will play" & tell Dillo he wasn't playing very fair, taking advantage of your being gone.

Wow! That's some thankless task you've been saddled with. My condolences.
How will this work, anyway? Will it be like the pope? I mean, should we consider that Mark H. is speaking as a board member unless you invoke the name of Dr. Bob?
If there is a hint of reproach in your post, should we consider it a PBC (Please Be Civil)? Or will you make it clear when you are speaking in an official capacity? Should we get nervous when we see your name in a thread we're involved in? Or decide to check out a thread we're not involved in?
Sorry for all the questions. I know it's only a week. It's just a new situation for me and new always makes me a bit nervous. Perhaps if I knew more what "administrative functions" covers...

Hi Dinah,
Wow! All the issues I feared being raised in a single post! :-)
Dr. Bob asked if I would sub this week for the purposes of issuing "please be civils," removing blatantly inappropriate posts, and blocking people who break the rules.
My ideal week would be one in which I didn't have to take any action at all, and except for one specific request from Dr. Bob this morning, we seem to have gotten off to a pretty good start.
I will make it crystal clear when I am speaking in an official capacity, which hopefully will be very infrequently.
Otherwise I'm just me. Please consider my participation in a thread to be no different than anyone else's. Everyone needs to help keep things running smoothly this week for this to work.
I'm checking the boards several times a day, but if I'm missing something that you think I should be aware of, please let me know.
I appreciate your humor and share your concerns, Dinah.
Best wishes,
Mark H.

The boss had tried explaining to me how we can still move a post from one board to another, but I haven't been able to find the option. Patti posted this message over on social, I believe it may be interesting for those who frequent the regular board.
Thanks

I moved it. You can *repost* a post by replying to it, adding in the "posted by" line, and redirecting it, but you can't remove it from the board it was originally posted to unless you're me (or subbing for me)...

It would've been better all around, I know, to have set this up more in advance, but it turned into a last-minute thing, Internet access here. Planning in advance isn't my strong suit, sorry!

Noticed that, thanks!
, but you can't remove it from the board it was
originally posted to unless you're me (or subbing for me)...So posts can be deleted? I'll take your word.
Finally found the switch board option. Thanks for the instructions again, Boss.
