Don't like new posting setup

Posted by Emme on February 18, 2002, at 19:16:45

Hi Dr. Bob,
I just wanted to say that I don't like the new setup where you click and go to a separate page to post a follow-on to a thread. While I'm writing, I often want to look back at the post that I'm writing a response to. It's an awful lot easier to do that the old way, by scrolling up and looking back at the posting in the regular page than reading back through the post as it's included in the little message box. I hope that made sense.
Thanks,
Emme

Hi Emme,

I am experiencing the same irritation you so eloquently describe. One thing that helps tho is to click the box that says include their post, then I hit the insert button on my keyboard and eliminate their post as I'm responding to it. Then I just delete whatever's left over once I'm done. It works pretty good the more I get used to it.

That's what I do too. (nm)

Thanks for the tip trouble! I never thought of doing it that way before...if the box was just a little bigger (I have 1024x768, so it seems small to me) I guess I should either get my eyes checked or start wearing the glasses I already have, huh? :-)
