I certainly understand the desire to be "organized" and keep med-related issues on their board and social issues on their board. However, I'm concerned, because quite good topics are getting muddled in the redirect process.

There is no way to control the different atmospheres that are going to develop on each board - babble attracts a certain kind of folk, and social attracts a certain kind of folk. There is going to be an overlap in topics.

I'd like to see a more liberal approach to the subject matter. I don't think people get confused if they're on the med board and see something about holiday stress (or vice versa). I think they ignore it and go on to something else.

I agree with K.

Somebody may have a good reason, other than numbers, to post on a particular board. The issue may be indirectly related to a topic, but still more appropriate for the "wrong" board.

I have had a post redirected when I purposely put it on a particular board. I thought the redirect was unnecessary, and I did not end up with the information I sought (yes, there could be reasons for that entirely unrelated to which board it was on--but, I'll never buy that). 8-)

If Dad is gonna mess with our mail, we need a mom to go tell...!!

My impression is that many posters feel more at home on one board than the other, whether it be PB or PSB, and for that reason would rather post there regardless of topic.

However, maybe changing the name of the meds board to reflect that it's specifically for medication would help? Psycho-Babble does sound pretty all-inclusive. -mist
