Sorry, I thought I replied to this before. I must not have hit that "confirm" button... Anyway, do you have both cookies and javascript turned on? Do you know how to do that?

How about this, I've added something to the FAQ:

Hi,
my cookies and Javascript were enabled, music still plays. I turn the speakers off, because it is very jumbled and erratic at times.
Is there anything else I can try?

Hmm, I wonder what's going on... Here, try this:

Does "babblemusic" show up as one of the cookies? If so, what is it?

Hi Bob,
no, babblemusic doesn't show up as one of the cookies on none of my computers.
A year or so ago when I first found this site I had no problem with turning off the music.

Weird. What browser? Maybe try turning the music *on*, which should set the cookie, then see if it is in fact set?

I have the same problem, and have done all of your suggestions, including restarting between turning it on and off. Babblemusic does show up on my P-B cookie list- sez 'false' even though it keeps going on!
I'm using Netscape 7.1.Cece

And if you turn the music on, does that setting change?

Wow, I'm falling further and further behind...
