I didn't mean to attack kazoo by saying that s/he was a nonprofessional without relevant formal education. It was an unfair assumption I made based on kazoo's use of what was obviously a regular dictionary in an attempt to define a medical term.

I think there is ample evidence of ignoring the facts on kazoo's part. That wasn't an attack; it was a statement of what has been going on. (For example, I take only buprenorphine, which incidentally blocks the effects of other opioids, and which does not produce the "high" that kazoo alludes to. All of this information about buprenorphine is supported by the literature.) Yes, I was making another assumption when I suggested that this pattern of ignoring the available facts was due to political prejudices.

I don't appreciate being described as "histrionic." Aside from being downright laughable to anyone who knows me personally (or even who has paid an ounce of attention to my writing style!), this is an example of exactly the type of pseudo-medical labeling that I objected to in another post. (Labelling someone a "drug addict" as a pejorative is another example of faux medical objectivity.)
