Biomagnetic pair therapy - my experiences

Posted by Hugh on July 5, 2024, at 11:41:05

For the past seven months, I've been regularly doing biomagnetic pair therapy (also called biomagnetism therapy). Doing it gives me a pronounced feeling of well being.

It seems to have an anti-inflammatory effect. In addition to improving my mood, it's improved chronic pain in my back and knees, and a persistent rash I had on either side of my nose is much better. I no longer have to use hydrocortisone cream to control the rash.

Sometimes I'll do biomagnetic pair therapy on a daily basis, sometimes I'll do it every two days, and sometimes every three days. I rarely go for more than three days without doing it.

Biomagnetic pair therapy was developed in the late 1980s, and differs from traditional magnetic therapy, which usually requires people to wear weak magnets continuously for days or weeks. Biomagnetic pair therapy uses strong magnets, which are usually worn for a hour or less, although I frequently wear them for several hours at a time.

The magnets are always applied to the body in pairs -- one magnet with its north polarity facing the skin, and the other magnet with its south polarity facing the skin. The magnets can be applied directly to the skin, or they can be taped over clothing with masking tape. If used on the head, they can be kept in place with a headband or a knit hat.

A photo on this website shows the magnets being used. Just one pair of magnets can be used, but sometimes up to a dozen pairs of magnets are applied to the body simultaneously.

One of my favorite placements is Pressure Point P6 (Neiguan).

I'll use wristbands to keep the magnets in place for between 30 minutes and several hours. The red side (north polarity) of one magnet should be against the skin on the inside of one wrist, and the black side (south polarity) of the magnet should be against the skin on the inside of the other wrist. Sometimes I'll slip a magnet in each sock. Sometimes I'll tape a magnet on either side of my spine. Sometimes I'll tape one magnet over my thymus (just below the breastbone), and I'll tape the second magnet over my lower abdomen or on one thigh, or over my spine (taping the magnets on my clothes).

A pair of biomagnetism therapy magnets at this website costs $20. Shipping for US orders is free. These are neodymium magnets, which are far more powerful than ferrite magnets.

I bought some magnets -- the large ones -- here:

The magnets shouldn't be used by people who have a pacemaker or an ICD. They shouldn't be placed close to any metal implants in the body.
