anytime i take seroquel, it makes me impaired and knocked out, more than zyprexa. It's antihistimine, and if i ever took it during the day, it would make me impaired and sleepy. I have no idea how people function on seroquel XR

Yeah, I could only take an evening dose of the IR.
Taking it earlier in the evening (say 7pm vs. 10pm) means it's out of your system a bit earlier.

You just get used to it. For me it doesn't feel like I am tired anymore. It's the new normal. Sounds worse than it is-

even when i take a 100mg tablet, it still makes me sleepy, groggy, difficult to do tasks. I take 600mg at night, which usally knocks me out. Sometimes, if im having a hypomanic phase, or an insomnia attack, which i did month ago.
Sometimes ill take a 300mg talbet and it will slightly loosen me up, when im in intense mind state, or irrtible. Seroquel XR, no no no, that will not work.
I would rather stick with olanzopine 10-15mg, than to stay at that dose. It is very good for sleep, it knocks you out.
Anyways, if i take seroquel tablet in day, its nap time. It lasts for about 7-8 hours

They mainly function because a high degree of tolerance can occur to the sedative effect after repeated regular dosing.

In my experience, Seroquel is more sedating and has more cognitive side effects. Thus I prefer Olanzapine although I take both. I am tapering Seroquel.
