This study popped up on sciencedaily.com

It caught my eye because after adding dark chocolate to my regiment a few years back, my episodes have been less intense.

Thanks for posting linkadge. I just bought 10x3.5oz 90% dark chocolate bars from Amazon.
One of the easier health purchases I've ever made...

It may take some time, who knows...the flavonoids can accumulate in the body / brain over time.
The flavonoids are great for overall health (heart / cancer risk). I feel a mild-moderate reduction in anxiety from drinking raw organic cocoa powder. My episodes have been less severe.

Maybe. I'm so TR I don't know why I thought that bloody chocolate would be strong/effective enough to help me. I must have been having a good patch when I replied.

The epicatechin in cocoa is a SNDRI and monoamine oxidase inhibitor. The beta carbolines are MAOIs. Cocoa also contains N-linoleoylethanolamide which enhances the endocannabinoid system and PEA which has similar actions to amphetamines. The flavonoids can also reduce cortisol
I have a personal stack of foods that I consume everyday, in conjunction with meds to help push me in the right direction. If my average mood is say a 5 out of 10, I'd say my daily consumption of cocoa, coffee and green tea takes me to a 6 out of 10.
Small steps. Stack them together. Baby steps.
