how long should one ideally wait after the last oral dose of quetiapine to switch to saphris? i dont want to contract arrythmias.
i want to introduce brintellix 5mg and asenapine 10bid and hoping brintellix will help in severe ocd. is there risk of actual serotonin syndrome and what abt manic switch. i have agitated mixed dep.
how helpful is asenapine in quieting the mind chaos that is unnoticeable but always there that fuels ocd dietress anxiety. is it very cooling also because i need a powerful psychomotor retardant.

hi. quetiapine has a short half life, right? I would think there'd be an increased possibility of EPS, early on in the switch...because of the seroquel hanging out on D2 receptors even after one stops taking it...but that's just a guess, really.
so...I would think you could wait 24 hours with the old school, instant release quetiapine and be OK. I remmeber having to take that stuff 2, 3x daily. blah.
good luck.
