For many, Lithium can stop suicidal thoughts rather quickly. If I recall correctly, I began to feel relief starting at 300 mg.

Hi beckett,
i take the Lithium Orotate in low dosage. I dont know if 300mg Carbonate would do more for suicidal thoughts than my small dose of lithium orotate does.
Anyway i took 1mg Lorazepam and the thoughts are gone. And i will take my supplements vigorously once i am back home on sunday. I am at my moms a few kilometers south. Until then i will take 1mg Lorazepam a day divided in two doses.
I think the supplements are helping.

Do you have anxiety or agitation?
I would discontinue the trazodone immediately and completely. See what happens. If trazodone is not the culprit, you can always go back to it.

I respect Trazodone too much to do that. Going back on 45mg on monday. I dont have a scale here at my mother`s. The people from the withdrawal website recommended 5% steps instead of 10%. But they dont know that i am worse now that i have gone back from 45mg to 50mg.
I will tell them.

It is mind boggling that people make themselves lab rats voluntarily.
Ive done it myself, so i understand.. But this has to come to an end.

I wouldnt take lithium on an ongoing basis because it really messes me up metabolically. Are the benefits immediate? Would 300mg as needed make sense?

I don't believe that one size fits all with respect to taper schedules. I don't think that it is necessary to reduce the dosage of trazodone by only 10% every 4 weeks. Better safe than sorry, I guess.
Everyone is different regarding how fast they can taper any given drug.
My experience with trazodone was that I was able to discontinue 300 mg/day within two weeks. I was able to stop 75 mg/day within a few days. That's just me, of course.

Do you mean 450mg --> 500mg?
5mg of trazodone is 1/10th of the smallest dose available. This is an incredibly small change. I suppose any reaction is possible, but you may want to look at what else may have change in this time.

Thanks for your posts. Yes i think it is the lack of nutrients. I have had a blood test that showed i am deficient in certain nutrients.

Today and yesterday i took hefty dosages of Magnesium, Selenium, Zinc and Threonine.
I feel wired in good way. I thought that these supplements would be without effect but i think i was wrong.

Nope.
