I work part time, but I also know that getting out of the house on a daily basis is critical to me not falling into a deeper pit.

I go to the library. I also visit some older citizens of the town. Occasionally I play piano in the retirement homes.

People define themselves too much (in this society) by their 'title' and not enough by the human interactions, and the lives that they enrich on a daily basis.

i don't but that is a good idea, i've thought about helping autistic children, voleenteer at a local psych hosital, or Terrell state hospital, that does sound like a good idea....because at the same time it would benefit to be around dr's that could give good advice, while volunteering

I work part time, delivering pizza. the job wears me out, so I'm glad its only part time. Plus I don't get enough sleep with the meds i take on days that i work. and make up for it on days off.

I used to work full time for the first few months. but it was too much.

for the first 10 years on psych meds I would work 50-60h weeks and I could not get out of bed in the mornings. some times I would even fall asleep at work for a few hours, or minutes. don't know how I got away with that. parked in the truck or on some coushions at the movie theater.

I'm in a much better mood now at work. Especially after a couple days off. So now I have time to work on my mental health, instead of work, work, work. Mostly talk threapy with people around me.
