hi
i wanted to ask if pregabalin combined with benzodiazepines like klonopin and ativan would add to each others effects indirectly i.e. ativan would enhance the effect of pregablain say or would they work sygernistically together. I'm not sure myself they would because i have read pregablain is gaba b and benzos gaba a thanks

Pregablin has nothing to do with GABA. pregabalin neither binds directly to these receptors nor augments GABAA currents or affects GABA metabolism

Lyrica is much different than benzos. I've been on it for awhile and I think it's a good choice for generalized anxiety. Benzos are better for an as needed medication. What are you taking currently? Are you thinking about switching to Lyrica?

I think Pregabalin is a great medication but for me it only worked in the presence of a NA+(sodium channel blocker) in this case clonazepam.
