I've been diagnosed with dysthymia, recurring depressive episodes and ADHD-PI. Now my doctor prescribed me Moclobemide for the dysthymia and depression a few weeks ago, and now at 450mg it slowly seems to start working - although it's too early to be sure about that, I think.
Anyway: Since methylphenidate doesn't help with my ADHD I'm currently looking for alternatives, which is not that easy since only Methylphenidate is used "on-label" for adult ADHD in Germany, and the "classic stimulants" are very seldom prescriped, even less for adults. So while trying to find a doctor I tried to find out wether combining Moclobemide with amphetamines would be a possibility. Google searches lead mostly to "extremely dangerous-posts", but many of those posts or reports seemed to assume Moclobemide was a "traditional" MAOI, or were about combination with MDMA, which, as far as I know, has much more effect on serotonine, which might explain the warnings.

And what about D/L-Amphetamine? Would the L-Amphetamine have more chance of screwing with the blood pressure?
Maybe someone here has experience with the combination or even some deeper knowledge of why it should be OK or not.

Dextroamphetamine is less stimulating on the psychical stuff....dexedrine would be ok, DL amphetamine is adderall....and it could help, their a bit diffrent, adderall gives more a sting than dexedrine....
with the MAOI it would increase its effect....you could maybe do this combination but i have no indepth research to find out the exact effect

Found another (German) resource, "Interaktionen in Der Psychopharmakotherapie", which basically says "with sympathomimetic drugs adrenergic effects might be amplified, so combination should be done carefully and blood pressure controlled".
So I guess it's possible, although with d/l-amphetamine one should probably be even more careful because of the levoamphetamine, which has more of an effect on blood pressure.

I found moclobemide to be very stimulating. I lost 20 lbs and couldn't sleep for the life of me. Moclobemide plus amphetamine = No rest ever.

That's interesting. Moclobemide in smallish doses (300mg) actually made me tired. Now at 600mg it has no stimulating, but also no tiring effect that I could feel.
But Wellbutrin made me tired as well, as did Methylphenidate.

75mg (I think) of moclobemide and I felt stimulated but so bad I had to lie down.
