Yes. Very much so. I had been taking 200 mg/day of Lamictal. I attempted to discontinue it because of the cognitive and memory impairments it produced. Unfortunately, I relapsed. I restarted it yesterday. It is possible that the magnitude of your memory impairments will lessen over time at 150 mg/day, but it is likely that they would reappear with future dosage increases. For me, 300 mg/day left me in a fog with greatly impaired memory and blunted cognition. I was little more than a vegetable during this time. However, I was also very depressed. Between the Lamictal and the depression, I became extremely stupid and numb to my surroundings.
If I were in your position, I would continue taking Lamictal and evaluate your memory function in a few weeks.

3 months is long enough. I agree with your doctor.
Why did you increase to 150 mg/day?

In the two weeks was trialing lamictal I didn't find it helped anxiety at all. Had to stop it at 50mg as saliva splitting intolerable. A rare side effect per pdoc. Phillipa

Very much so. Was up to 200 mg and doctor lowered me to 100. It did help with depression (not anxiety) but this side effect was affecting my performance at work, so I no longer take it.

Lamictal gave me more cognitive problems than any med I've ever taken.
