This medication is an anticonvulant but I read it is used for anxiety and panic attacks. Some people have posted about in the past.
I obviously would be posting about benzo's but my doctor will not write them. So i'm doing my own research on non benzo medications for anxiety. I swear I hate my doctor because I always have to kiss her up and tell her kind words to get her to write what I need. I hate it.
But anyways does anyone know about this medication??

Gabitril (tiagabine) is a weird one. For some people, it acts like an anxiolytic and hypnotic. Others react to Gabitril by having agitation, mania, and insomnia. It is not all that reliable or predictable. Even though it is classified as an anticonvulsant, Gabitril can actually precipitate seizures. I found Gabitril to be cognitively dulling. If you decide to go with this drug, give low dosages a chance to work.Gabitril is getting good press. However, I am not yet a big fan. It just isn't consistent enough in its effects interindividually.
