Low Normal Range Spot Cortisol What's It Mean?

Posted by Phillipa on May 10, 2011, at 12:39:20

I asked my endo when he did my six month check on thyroid hormones to also check cortisol. Result in normal range. Lab value normal range 2.3-12.3. Mine was 4.4. This was a random spot check and know goes up and down during the day. Anything to be concerned about since Mother had addison's? Thanks Phillipa

Throid range was perfect at l.l so not related to thyroid. I am still taking less than prescribed bioidentical hormones. And need to make an appointment to get hormones and prescription refilled. I'm thinking not using the full dose is what might be causing this? Phillipa
