WEll I just plunked down $600 for a 28-day supply of Riluzole via international sources, based on some encouraging research I read. But now I'm hoping that anyone and everyone who has ever had experience with this drug could share their opinions and experiences in this thread. Also please note your dosage, and any potential side effects.
I'm finishing up my round of acute ECT this week, I'm sick of this disease, I want to kill it even if it costs me $600/month.
Please share Riluzole / Rilutek experiences!!!

I found riluzole to be without effect.

I hope it turns out well for you. I'll be really interested to hear your experience.
I wonder, if it works for depression, what the mechanism is? I couldn't see that it had any S or N or D RI qualities from the wiki page.

I'd be really interested to hear about the ECT since my pdoc keeps recommending it. How has it gone for you?

I know this will draw critics from those who don't agree with me, but I gotta say it.
Forget the ECT already.
If you want to know why, just start a new thread and I'll draw the entire picture, pros and cons alike.
I don't know what Riluzole is, but I want it to be a blessing for you.

And if the ECT turns out not to have been helpful, don't use it as a rod for your own back.

So far, will be ECT number 15 tomorrow. Minimal effect, slight positive. Significant short term memory loss. Thought I felt a big response after number 13, but it only lasted a day, then I crashed again. Feeling a bit better today though, so crossing fingers. Looks like I have two more this week, then I go down to once a week for 4 weeks.
Please keep me in your thoughts.
Also have on order milnacipran, temgesic, and riluzole. Yes, time to get creative. And currently on Nortriptilyne, Effexor, Namenda, SAMe, Magnesium, Agomelatine, Lithium. Sigh.
