Hi,
I came off of benzos for anxiety and began using Gabapentin for anxiety as a healthier alternative.
I have ADHD and use Focalin, as needed.
Lately, if I take (3) 300 mg Gabapentin, 5 mg Focalin, a Benadryl and (3) 150 mg Picamilon, I get a "high" energized feeling...like an almost induced mania. Everything is crisper, more clear and colorful, I am focused, in hyper mode, super productive and I feel good (giddy, talkative).
I do not have depression. I was diagnosed, however, cyclothymic. I DO not have bi-polar disorder NOR have I ever had mania outside of this drug-induced version of it.
I am curious WHAT my experience of this combination means, if anything.
Any one else ever combined these? (I take the Benadryl to calm it down a notch so I am not too nerve-ridden).
Please let me know your experience, if you have tried this combination, or have experienced a drug-induced mania with a similar combination (but are otherwise NOT manic depressive or depressed), and/or if you are a physician, what your assessment of WHY I feel this way with this combination (best explanation so I can understand it on a chemical level).
It lasts a good 6+ hours and takes about 2-hours to fully kick-in and settle down.
Thanks kindly,
Unicorn_Girl
