Hi Phillipa.
Subutex worked for only a few days. I switched to suboxone, which has a small amount of antagonist mixed w/the agonist buprenorphine, and it worked great daily for years. One of, or the best depression med I've ever used. It also cured my daily fatigue and some digestive problems I've always had. No tolerance, and very little withdrawal when I stopped taking it.
Suboxone was formulated w/the antagonist to stop folks from shooting it up. Then it was discovered that small amounts of antagonists taken with opiates reduced/stopped tolerance and addiction/withdrawal.
All that being said, it's very important what else you're taking with subutex or suboxone, and what your personal neurochemistry needs for you to be better.
We're as different neurologically as we are physically. I'm sure you know that what worked for me may not help you.
Good luck!!
This is the end of the thread.
