Anyone fixed Poop-Out via Mood stabilizer

Or know someone who has regained effectiveness from an Anti-D via Lithium or Lamictal....

Also if your T3 levels are normal there is no point in trying to augment with T3 is there?

I found that controversial in googling for my diagnosed hasimotos thyroiditis. I tried it once at 5 mcg or mg forget and found it stimulating only lasts a few hours but in my case couldn't take it saw others on sites using it to augment ad's so why not google it? Thyroid forums. Phillipa described to me like a cup of coffee by my endo.

You can still try T3 even if the lab results are normal. It was around, amoung the 3rd-line treatments tried in the STAR-D studies, if I recall correctly.
I am on Cytomel despite never having abnormal thyroid results. I asked my psychiatrist if I could supplement w/ thyroid medication several years ago, and have tried a few different kinds (Synthroid and its generic; Armour; Cytomel -- not sure if I recall any difference. I'm thinking of going back to generic Synthroid because it has a lower copay for me, and I'm poor).
I think it's reasonable to try if a few first- and second-line med trials don't cut it for you. My psychiatrist doesn't believe highly in it, but has been willing to Rx it for me since I asked and had been pretty treatment-resistant.

I should add/clarify that I've never tried lithium nor Lamictal, though.

I think I've been on it for over a year, so I should know, but I can't really tell. Overall, my current other psych meds are the best yet, or nearly so, but I can't tell if the thyroid med is any help. That's part of why I'm thinking of trying levoxyl again instead of the Cytomel (because levoxyl is a lot cheaper, I think). But, I don't recall being able to tell if the other forms of thyroid meds have helped either. I guess I think they help a little, or I shouldn't really stay on them.

Hey Phillipa, ah, the spelling of your "diagnosed" condition is Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (just thought you'd like to know as you google it so much-hope that helps). Your Endo described you like a cup of coffee! HAha! That must be comforting. Oh, thats right, poster wants some help with his mood stabilizer, gotta run!!

Love, Jade
