I had insomnia, depression, anxiety, fatigue and some mild nausea. I thought I needed an antidepressant, but had hypomanic issues each time I tried them. I was previously able to take Prozac,
My doctor tested me and said my testosterone level was really low about 200 and I am 61. He prescribed this testosterone gel- androgel. I have only taken it 2 days and I do not feel so depressed, have more energy and not so anxious either. Is this real or the Placebo effect. Curious....so far so good!

Oh, you can definitely feel the testosterone effect right away. I never used the gel (my doctor injected it), but it works quickly. Over time, it won't feel so dramatic, but that doesn't mean it isn't working.

Thanks Lar, I have only taken the gel for 3 days, and my depression has lifted, anxiety lessened and actually thought about sex today...LOL.
