Is there anything that might help with that? I am feeling alot better anxiety wise, but I think it is that I dont really give that much of sh*t. Also alcohol and clonazepam make me feel very depressed on it, even in small doses
Suggestions?
Thanks

maybe you should take something that is mellow but has anti depressant effects. Klonopin seems to worsen depression for me. Alchohol isn't much of an antidepressant. Maybe Lamictal, because I think it makes me more motivated because it does have effect on dopamine I think (you probably wont read that anywhere). You know what I'm saying, something that chills people out yet makes them happier. Provigil, if that doesnt give you anxiety. You probably want to keep all the anti anxiety effects.
I didn't know whether you wanted medicine advice or what. Maybe some exercise would help, in the morning some light exercise; get the adrenaline pumping! lol

What dosage of Parnate are you taking?
Ginseng should NOT be taken with MAOIs as it may increase the risk of hypertensive crisis.> Is there anything that might help with that? Actually, I was mistaken. It's not hypertensive crisis. Here's what medline says:
Headache, tremors, mania, or insomnia may occur if ginseng is combined with prescription anti-depressant drugs called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), such as isocarboxazid (Marplan®), phenelzine (Nardil®), and tranylcypromine (Parnate®).For more info,

How much are you taking, and for how long? I am at 60mg, and after the first week of feeling very fuzzy, it works great, the first antidepressant that has really helped.

Man, I am better on parnate but I am also worse. I just dont care about anything, I feel so chronically bored. Usually I can find something at the liabrary to read but I cant seem to get interested in anything. Conversation is far easier but I am bored with everyone and everything. Worse still, when I drink I get massively down. I had 4 cans of red bull the other night and a few beers and that helped but only to make things ok.
But I am better, I am working day shifts now for the first time in years because I can handle it. I am not wracked with anxiety though I do feel agitated. Argh! What to do, I miss Nardil, I wish if it didnt have so many side effects or I would go back on it!
This is the end of the thread.
