I've been told i should go on it. But, my doctor says "you show more anxiety in this session, then anyone of my patients" I am over the top, he agree's i should take Xanax, i asked him would Phenobarbital work (instead of Xanax),
He said, phenobarbital is "heavy sedative" and causes sedatation all day, and it's not recommened personally your case.
But listen, i'm on Seroquel 100-200mg at night. Would Lithium be better? in the mornings?
(I've always heard "Lithium" is for "out there" people, and i'm not saying anything to this website to offend posters at all..ok?) This is just what i've been told "Lithium, that's for crazy people" and many more.
But, i'm not my own doctor. But it would be nice to be "stableminded" instead of (full of life- to down to the pits of hell [mindstates])
And the only reason is maybe it would help.
But right now for some reason i cannot stay awake, i'm taking Vyvanse 140mg, and i'm falling asleep on it! this is a paradox reaction. I dont understand, is this Narcolepsy? i can sleep on my prescibed dose. That is wierd.
Someone help me put my brain back together.

I'm not sure what you want a barbituate for. What are your symptoms and diagnonsis, that might help people give you some better advice. Do you have attention deficit hyperactive problems, or gad? It can be frustrating to feel like you are being given lots of meds that do wierd things. I hope it can be worked out for you.
Lithium helps with a particular kind of 'crazy' - mostly, people who experience weeks of being over top, mania, and then long stretches of depression - bipolar.
As for methylphenidate making you sleepy, do you mean once your dosage wears off? I think thats pretty common. You may want to talk to your doctor about taking part of it at noon to spread it out more and avoid the rebound. Also, taking lots of benzos and seroquel will make you really sleepy. Perhaps that the problem, and the stimulant is just hiding it.

If you have read the past of my posts, there underscreenames.
I've posted for 4 years here. Xanax is the best relief for anxiety, and panic attacks. I thought Phenoabarbital is a strong sedative that would keep me calm the "whole" day. My grandmother took it for years and years. I've been on Lorazepam, Clonazepam, and Zoloft.
2nd, Vyvanse is dextoamphetamine that is release "slow" into the blood stream. It is putting me to sleep after 2 hours i take it. It lasts offically usally 8-10hours. I can take a 4 hour nap on it. Which is very very wierd since it's an amphetamine.
Lithium i have read used for Unipoler depression, my current doctor, i have an appointment this monday, the Vyvnanse is unprediciable, its slowly slowly released. And i've asked about barbiurates and discussed them with my doctor. Alot of times people think "Psychiatian Assisted Suicide". The last option right now is Xanax for anxiety, and panic attacks that cause nuertoic and phobic behavior.
My mind races too much. Then it will slow down, and analyaze what i just "rushed" through. "What did i just do?" memory loss.
My doctor told me, only in a bad case...i said before, Secobarbital, for severe insomnia. But he cannot write that script if he still writes it for Xanax, Xanax keeps me from going to hospitals, and thinking i'm losing my mind. Do you see the comination of the interation of those two sedatives?
Prosom. Temazpam, Clonazpam, Trazadone, Ambien, i havent been on Lunesta. And Rozerem, Xanax has won.
For anxiety, i just know that there has to be something that is better than Xanax, Xanax lasts too short, only for 2 hours. Believe me, that 2 hours of peace is so precious.
There an awnser.

Perhaps Xanax XR would be beneficial. It lasts 5-11 hours and is available as a generic formulation.

Maybe lithium would slow down racing thoughts and it's also used for unipolar depression. Phillipa
