Hi
Its been a long time since I have been on this forum. My pdoc finally figured out the med i needed and it was Lithium! It was helping so much!! I was sleeping, in a good mood, not crabby and NOT craving opiates!!!! But now it does not seem to work anymore! I am supposed to take 300 mg 3x's a day. I take 2 most of the time because when I took 3 I was up all night peeing therefore not getting sleep!! I also take 60 mg adderall a day. This has stopped working. I have been on antidepressents all my life and none of them ever really worked. When the Lithium worked it was wonderful. It helped my anxiety, depression, overall mood and I could sleep! I have had 1 blood test and my level was .2 after taking 300 mg 2x's a day for about 3 weeks. The doc wanted to put me on abilify to take with the lithium, but I chose to increase the lithium to 3x's a day. My question is could I possibly increase the lithium a lttle and would I notice a difference immediatley? Will it cause other side effects? I hope someone can understand all this rambling! This is how my brain works when I am depressed. By the way I am "SOFT bipolar"(whatever that means). Any input would be much appreciated!!!!!
thanks

IF its just the urinating thats the problem, a couple grams of taurine before bed can help a lot.
