The together RX program provides discounts to a list of medications with lots of psycomeds allowed.
This one does require that you have no insurance
for medications.http://www.needymeds.com/program_list.taf?_function=name&program_id=1127

Thank you for posting that. It's very thoughtful, which doesn't surprise me at all coming from you. You've always struck me as a thoughtful person, and this kindness is another example.

I think one of the problems with meds is like the poster yesterday that does have insurance it's just maxed out for the year. And I've checked into needymeds and if you own something you can't apply. There has to be another type of plan that will provide coverage during a waiting period or for the newer meds as medicaire only provides for certains ones too. But that's a good thread for those who have no med insurance. Phillipa

That simply is not true. Each manufacture sets their own requrements. It clearly states on the site for the meds in question that you have to have no insurance coverage for the med. Some programs
do disqualify you if you have any insurance.

I used this program for a few months while I had med insurance but with all the copays I could not afford all my meds while I was between jobs. I shifted a few to the patient assistance program. despite effexor having is requirement:
"The patient must not have any private nor public insurance"
I was still able to get Effexor, even though I had insurance for it, due to my financial limitations.

Thank you Racer and Matt, I think yours are the first positive response to the many times I have posted info on **free** meds. I do not think positive information goes over well on these boards; I feel like it is a waste of time looking things up for people. I think these efforts will be better spent on some of the other sites I am a member of.
This is the end of the thread.
