if it happens, is it something that you notice right away?
i am having my third treatment on monday. it is bifrontal placement using a Mecta SPECTRUM 5000Q machine. i am taking risperidone 2.5mg during the treatments, which i have worried about since i have suspected the chance of ECT helping me may be dependant on it's effect on dopamine receptors.
it's hard to say if i feel anything. i do. but what it is pretty hard to put my finger on...
atm i do feel fuzzy and inarticulate, but this hasn't been unusual with the risperidone and it has been a general complaint from the beginning.

Hi- I noticed cognitive problems with ECT pretty quickly, within a few treatments. At the same time, though, I noticed improvement in my mood. The cognitive problems were mostly just bad when I was trying to concentrate, like playing word games. Hope ECT works for you!

Hi,
I hope it works for you too, I've got my fingers crossed for you. Are you having bilateral or unilateral treatments?
