Is it okay to go off of 40 mg. of Parnate cold turkey, or does one need to go off gradually. Thanks.

I am only asking as I am not sure it is a good idea.

Definitely not a good idea.
Please don't make any decisions about the parnate precipitously; you need to think about such an important decision for a while.
If you do go off, please do it slowly, and certainly certainly not cold turkey.

If it's working why go off it? I don't understand? Love Phillipa

My doctor says do as I was told; go off the Parnate.
This really concerns me, but I guess I will see what happens. It will still be in my system next week, and so I suppose it will be of some benefit.

I think by two weeks I will be able to go back on it. This is a temporary situation that I hope resolves in a couple of weeks.

Personally, I always went off Parnate cold turkey without any problems that I was aware of. The one time I tried to taper, I was depressed in 2 days. Of course, everyone is different.
