Background info: I have Social Anxiety and am looking for what ever will work. I need confidence. I think i also have some GAD
1. Does the newlyformulated nardil work for sad (in other words who has tried the new stuff)
2. What dosage
3. what does it feel like
4. I really want to hear feedback from people who have not tried the old nardil to compare to the new nardil
5. But i still want to hear from the nardil vets

Perhaps no other drug has been talked about more on Dr. Bob than Nardil. If you are really serious about taking Nardil, then go to the bottom on the Dr. Bob google search and type in "Nardil experiences" and things like that. I will do my best to answer your questions and then post a few links at the bottom.

2. What dosage? 45-90 MG, DEPENDS ON HOW YOU REACT TO IT.
3. what does it feel like? A DRUG THAT REALLY HELPS WITH SAD, GAD AND DEPRESSION. IT HAS BEEN AROUND 50+ FOR THOSE REASONS, IT WORKS.
4. I really want to hear feedback from people who have not tried the old nardil to compare to the new nardil? WHY? THE OLD NARDIL IS GONE SO THIS IS A NON-ISSUE

Hi natedog539,
I was on Nardil for most of the past ten years. I'm currently doing a trial of Parnate becase of the weight gain side effect that affects many (not all) Nardil users. I was taking 90mg per day of Nardil. The standard dosage is 1mg/kg of body weight. Of course more or less works for some people. IMHO Nardil + clonazepam is the GOLD standard for treatment resistant Atypical Depression and Social Anxiety Disorder. Again, in my opinion, these meds should be the 2nd tier when the first SSRI does not work. Most PDOCS, because of unfounded fears, save MAOIs for a last resort; sometimes after ECT.
Most all medications can be dangerous if not used properly. A Google search of the words NSAIDS and Fatal comes up with 266,000 hits.I'm an analyzer and have been taking MAOIs for ten years; I'll pass on a few links.
