What is adehonia?

Posted by Bonnie_CA on April 13, 2007, at 17:10:56

I had a student show me a note from her doctor, and "adehonia" was on the top of it. I've seen the term, but I can't find the definition. Some please define this term for me. Thanks!

The spelling may be andehonia, the inability to experience pleasure. Google it and you get a few hits.

Decided to check out dictionary.com and found yet another spelling: anhedonia.

Thanks for the info. I didn't look at the note very long, so I didn't remember exactly how to spell it. LOL Although kids are odd, I would have asked the teacher to talk privately about something like that. I don't think anyone else saw the note anyway.
