If you've had ANY experience with this, you know exactly what I'm talking about....(alcohol not involved)...just when I take my dose of lithium at night, waking up in the morning is hell. I feel like I have the flu until I get out of bed and get the blood flowing for a good 10 minutes. Anybody feel this?
Thanks

I just started taking Lithiumm 600 mg with Lamictal 200 mg. I saw your post and wondered if you could tell me how it is to take?
I am kind of scared!
thanks pearlcat

I had the same feeling. Thought for me, I just felt rotten for the first little while after awakening. Like a dark cloud over me. It lifted fairly rapidly though.
Something to do with alteration of sleep cylces?

Yeah I have no idea what it has to do with.....pearlcat - For me it has worked wonders most noticeably for my anxiety. It also gives you the same feeling that everybody it helps says - makes you feel "centered...grounded"...I am barely bipolar, probably cyclothemic if that, I just make bad decisions, It has helped me not be impulsive like I used to be, so it's helped my ADD as well in terms of thinking before I act. I love it.

If your dose is correct (check with doctor),
it may be a blood "surge"--that can happen if you
are dehydrated or taking it on an empty stomach.
