Hello,
I know Abilify's been used for BP depression, & as an augmenting agent for unipolar depression...
I'm wondering if anyone here has used it, or seen any rsch/studies where it was used by itself for depression/dysthymia/etc.?
Just looking for any experiences, or info related to the dose, etc.
Thanks,
michael

not that I know of. Its been studied and used as an augmenting drug, with good effects in some patients. I guess if the problem is psychotic depression then it might be a good call as monotherapy...but with the akathisia and what not, it probably wouldn't be monotherapy for a lot of people...for at least a couple weeks you'd probably need a beta-blocker and/or benzo.

OMG!! This Abilify is so sedating. It makes me happy, hungry, sad. I rather smoke some weed.

It seems that I've run across more reports of agitation, rather than sedation, as a side effect of abilify - though I haven't read all that much just yet.
Thanks,
michael
