Please let me know if you have taken Topamax and had a bad reaction to the medication not listed in the side effects.

Nope, it made my hair fall out just like the patient information sheet said it might :-(
It was severe enough for me to discontinue Topamax, which worked fine except for that.

When I took it from mid 2005 thru April 2006 there was no warning on the information sheet or even on their web site about hair loss.
When did you take it?

I think I tried it in January of 2005, and I read the warning about hair loss as a "infrequently reported" side effect on the product website's patrient information.
My hair is fine so I couldn't afford to lose it for very long.

Which web site do you refer to because the maufacturers web site still does not refer to severe hairloss as a side effect. There are a lot of web sites that do but it isnt theirs. My lawyers even had a nurse check into it and its not listed. by the way I lot 95 % of my hair and since April when I quit injesting this incidious drug I have only grown out three inchs with the help of 5% Rogaine. And while I was on the drug I took a multivitamin, 1000 mg of biotin and a protien suppliment. So I dont think it could have been avoided.

Isn't there mention of it in the PDF file on the site? That's where I read it, it had aleopecia listed as a side effect. And yes, it's the company site I read. As soon as my hair started to shed I told my doctor I couldn't stand to take it.

My pdoc had told me when she prescribed the Topamax that hair loss was a possible side effect. So neither of us was surprised when it happened.
Maybe your doctor is ill-informed of all possible side effects?
