I'm also having sexual dysfunction problems -- no ejaculation, with Effexor XR. I posted a message a couple of days ago, and Racer suggested adding cyproheptidine. Since then, I discovered more tips here ...
http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/SSRI-sexual-dysfunction.htmlIn addition to cyproheptidine, other possible solutions mentioned include adding amantadine and buspirone, taking a drug holiday, or trying two supplements -- yohimbine and gingko biloba. Since I already had gingko in the house and am not looking to add another med, I'm trying the gingko, 120mg twice a day.
I also have a lot of problems with meds and urinary retention. I am taking Bethanechol for that. I also take saw palmetto, which has been proven to reduce benign prostate enlargement, and also helps with the retention.
Hope this helps,
Excellent Camper
