i see some posts where people say they have "brain zaps" could someone tell me what that is? it sounds scary to me. does anyone ever feel like time passed by without you realizing it? one example: i take my dog to a park by my house and he doesn't have to be on a leash and if i turn my head for a second it seems like he is in a different spot in just a second, he is a small dog and doesn't run that fast. i know it sounds weird but does anyone know if it is just my imagination or has anyone experienced this?

Yess, brain zaps are jolts, usualy when your lying there still, your brain feels like it quivers in a quick jolting motion.
Ive had this happen a few times, usualy its linked to a drug, and even certain times natural substances, anything that can cross into the brain id imagine is capable.
From my experiance i can say it stops from discontiniuing the drug.
p.s Unfortuantly i have noticed it on withdrawals too, mostly benzos.

To me, "brain zaps" felt as though my head was so full of static electricity that, if you put your hand next to my head, the hair would stand up...
I got it a lot getting off Effexor, and a few other times on other drugs. It's an icky feeling. (<<That's the technical term for it. Icky.)
Hope that helps.

I get head zaps when i have fever, tha "zaps" are triggered by a rapid eye movement. Sounds strange, i know, but i have had as long as i can remember. It's a bit unpleasant but nothing to worry about.
