Or should this read 'effective sleeping tab'....have tried Stilnoct and various other 'short acting sleeping tabs' with 'no hangover affects'...but they don't work....and doubling up just becomes a vicious circle where you use up too many because you don't sleep enough. I get so anxious about sleeping that I don't sleep. Anyone that can recomment a good sleeping tab that I can talk to my therapist about???

Have you tried about 0.3 mg melatonin (OTC)? That seems to work well for a lot of people-take a small amount to start to avoid being sleepy the next morning. The other OTC remedy is Benadryl (of course I buy the house brand of the stuff)-take about an hour before you go to bed. It works when prescription stuff doesn't and doesn't cause dependance, etc.

I occasionally take about 1/3 to 1/2 of a generic PM aspirin. A little goes a long way, and a whole tab actually inhibits true REM sleep.

I've tried Imovane before. I think you need a prescription though. It comes in different strengths so you could test out levels. It's the first thing the sleep clinic tried me out on. You could ask your therapist what she thinks about it.
