MAOI and CHEESE CURD: CrazHorse, SLS, Linkage

Do someone know about eating CHEESE CURD while being on a MAOI ?

My guess is that it could be alright.

I have no personal experience with it.

If it is not aged, fermented, or acted upon by bacteria, my guess is that it would be ok. How is cheese curd made? Doesn't it have to be fresh?

Like what, cottage cheese? The bottom line is that if it's not aged it's okay. This is what most up to date info says...American cheese, cottage cheese, cream cheese, and even Mozzerella are okay. Most say use caution when eating Mozzerella.

Crazy Horse prefer Buffalo!! :^)

Marty, cheese curds are fine because they are fresh unrippened cheese. I eat them no problem (not on poutine, just alone).

Yay for cheese curds ... the squeaky cheese!

I really don't know, my feeling is that it could be manifacture the same way mozarella is.

I'll try to find something explaining the fabrication process of the cheese curd and post it in this thread so we can look at it together.

Chesse Curd is a cheese that is always in chunck and usually serve in a bag. We in Quebec have something called POUTINE which is like a local meal .. fries mixed with cheese curd and bbq sauce. If I could eat that I would be very thrilled ..

Mozarella with caution, yep.. I've tried Pizza hut and eat like a pork.. no problem at all, i've monitor me pression very often and nothing ever move. PIZZA HUT (in Canada) = OK

That's what I think to! it looks more like a dairy product like mozarella and cheese cream.

Again I'm mixed between you and Maximum.. I think you are the one living into the province of the poutine.. Am I right ? Would you eat some in a poutine ? Or you would be afraid of.. .. ?

I would just love to be able to eat poutine :P

eh! I didnt know poutine was Pootang in english! lol

So if I understand well I will probably eat my first MAOI pootang tonigh! alllright :D

MAOI diet is so much not as hard as the documents. I wonder if we could not put up someday our own paper as a projet here on Dr.Bob.. this is easy to say, but their are very good colloborative software that would allow to work on this with a couple of person..

Who are best placed to write such a paper ? I mean who are the best people to help MAOI survive this time of SSRI overmarketting...

So you're feeling pretty good so far, eh? I hope that you are.
By the way i really liked your post to :Nardil Euphoria- the first one was great, and i think you were right about "you know who" the guy needed compassion, not an *ss whippin! You did a good job, showed a lot of empathy and geniune concern..hell of a job Marty!

Thanks man :) I hope he'll come back to read his messages. I fear that because of what he initially received as messages et didn't comeback, feeling people wasn't understanding him. But well..

I hope with time I'll be able to help more and more people. About my 'second post' to you know you, I didn't mean to be as agressive.. but I was SO pissed off... can barely control myself buddy :S

As for working on a MAOI diet document it could be very interesting. But I think that I shoul wait to feel better and have more energy before talking back about this 'project' .. happy to see that you would be game to join! :)

So.. how are you Crazy Horse? something new ?

Wow. You guys are awesome. Really. You really know how to make someone who is acutely depressed and going through a medication wash-out feel terrific. </sarcasm>

I'm leaving this board.

At this point it looks like I'm at the brink of starving myself to death so I suppose my time here was numbered anyway.

Hi Tigereyes --

First I swear this will be my last public post about the incident between you and me.

Not sure where we were insensitive in our last 2 posts. I think Crazy Horse only said he too though you have been insensitive in your post where you judged MalcolmS too quickly about him being a thrill surfer/seeker and told him he may well stop anoying his pdoc and go drug himself in the streets. As this is my last post about our incident let me reiterate my position: You have been insensitive and very hard in your judgement.

That said, this is your right to not apologize, but can you at least tell us if because of your hard time with your withdrawal you may have been a little harsh with MalcolmS..?

Even after all that, I'm concern about the hard time you're having with your depression and withdrawal.. I'm actually in the same position than you and it's far from being easy.. but why would you stop coming on this forum because 2 person aint agreeing on ONE of your post ? Never said you were a bad person, only said that your post was innapropriate in the circumstance.

If you are able, let's just put that behind us and try to know each other.. our TRUE self, not based on a little 3 post war... and let's hope our little war hasn't diminish MalcolmS chance to access and receive our help.

Marty

Dinah here, acting as deputy for Dr. Bob.

I understand you're hurting, and I'm sorry. But we agree to rules here when we register to post, and Dr. Bob requests that we follow them no matter how badly we're hurting. Here's a link if you'd like to learn more about site guidelines.

In accordance with those guidelines, please don't be sarcastic or post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down.

There are alternative ways of expressing your feelings and the FAQ might be useful in that regard. It would be perfectly fine to say, for example, that you aren't feeling supported, or that you need a different sort of support right now. Anything that doesn't negatively characterize other posters or their posts.

I'm afraid that if you review the FAQ you'll see that the next step after a warning is to be blocked from posting for one week.

Dr. Bob has the right to review all deputy decisions. If you wish to appeal to him, you can email him (his email address is at the bottom of each board) or post here on the Administrative Board. Followups to administrative actions should be directed to the Administrative Board (just change the "Board:" choice at the top of the "Enter Your Post" screen), and should of course be civil themselves.

Dinah

Let's keep it civil, please, everyone.

I realize that when feelings get hurt or emotions are high, it's easy to get carried away.

But please remember that when replying to posts, it is important not to characterize the other poster or their post in negative terms, as per the FAQ.

Just a friendly reminder. :) And not to imply that anyone has been or will be uncivil.

Non, je ne prends pas de IMAO. Je suis sur un combo de Effexor et Lamictal. Il semble que cela fonctionne bien depuis l'automne, après avoir erré pendant longtemps de médicaments en médicaments.

Bonne chance compatriote ;-)
