Im getting very paranoid

Posted by rjlockhart on April 1, 2006, at 21:10:38

Im starting to get this feeling again i havent felt in a long time. A feeling of fear, with bottemless. I am staring at this screen, I am afraid, that feeling you just never know.

I am concerned about my Xanax useage, and also ciggerettes, when i first started smoking i didnt really "think" of it. Now its like a timer in my head goes off. Im paranoid, oh no, what will happen. Well i went off dexamphetamine fine. But Xanax i dont know.

Has anyone felt the darkness of fear? i have so many times.

Someone help me.

Matt

Matt you don't cold turkey off xanax no doctor would do this to anyone. And your doesage is relatively high. Did your doc tell you he was just going to stop the xanax? Call any doctor and they will tell you bad things could happen to you if you just quit them without a tapper. Love Mom 2 Phillipa

You recently just stopped taking Xanax cold Turkey? That's a huge and dangerous mistake, and if your doc told you to do that he's totally irresponsible. With Benzos like Xanax you must taper off them very slowly. If your current doc won't comply with this PLEASE find another Doc asap.
Matt, I really don't know you, but I have read some of your posts. You really need to get yourself some better help Matt. Go to any public hosp, or local mental health facility and tell them everything...I mean everything. I feel so bad for you that your only 18 and you have to go through all of this. Please listen to Phillipa and Maxime also they care a lot about you, and their advice is excellent. Nothings going to get better until you make some changes in your life Matt. And most important right now is good psychiatric care. Hang in there bud.

Tyler

Matt:

If I understand even half of your posts correctly (and there is certainly room for error there), meds alone are not likely to do the trick. In my opinion, you need individual therapy to address things that meds simply won't make better on their own. While P-Babble is an important resource that gives us all access to good advice from kind people, it is far short of regular, intensive sessions with a therapist trained to help you resolve situations involving fear and personal conflict.
