I scored 1 and the results said no American could be that relaxed take the test again LOL spose if I'd felt compelled to follow the suggestion to retake that would have meant I was an American maniac?

I wondered if anyone could take it and not score high... because I am hardly a very busy person or a social climber and I scored fairly high.
But, zazenduck, you proved me wrong. Maybe if I was a good duck and did my zazen daily, it would be different. Well, I guess I am "suffering from American Mania." I never take vacations unless I can get at least two or three weeks off because it takes me at least seven days to uncoil completely. Most of my scores came from such an indifference to time and a disorganization that results from it...
Good thing I am phobic about IM and phones or I would have scored off the charts.
To life, River.

Scored 2....good to see the American mania hasn't rubbed off on me. Not a US citizen but living in the US for half of my life.

Well, it's clearly not a serious test. I scored 3 (prompting the question "Do you live in a monastery?") But I based some decisions to check yes or no on whether I did something a lot or a little. For example, I occasionally eat at my desk, but not usually, so I said no. Do I often shop as a form of recreation? Well, does browsing count the same as buying? Then there's the value system decision: is looking at pretty merchandise somehow different from looking at pretty flowers? To accurately gauge behavior, you'd need a scale of some sort.
Nonetheless, I do think there is a certain manic quality to American life today. Whether it's equally true of Swedish or Laotian or Argentine life, I couldn't say.
