How come AP's can cause twitching and muscle jerks after the medicine is withdrawn?

I don't know.

Maybe postsynaptic membrane supersensitivity in striatal neurons?

Which muscles are twitching?

What were you taking? What dosage?

How long has it been since you discontinued the drug?

Has there been any trend towards the twitches lessening?

*80mgs of Geodon for 1 year or so and was on
Zyprexa and Seroquel but can't remember the doseage. I was on AP's for about 2 years and 5 months.

Your post freaks me big time. I don't understand why pharmaceutical company can get away without being forced to tell cleary in their literature that "Antipsychotic cause permenant change in the brain which could result in this and that"

I think I am a pretty good prospect for the same problem. Look at my post http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20060322/msgs/624235.html
