Can anyone hear me?

Posted by New Widow on January 21, 2006, at 1:45:42

I'm new, and am tired of trying to find support on chat because let's face it, if your not posting a pic or willing to cyber, you don't exist! @#$%! My husband just blew his head off with a shotgun in front of me, a month ago today, and 8 days later, after moving back in with my parents, I have to call 911 because my Mother, who was there for me, was throwing up blood and surely would have died had I not been there... I am just trying to get a grip on all of this. Of course it gets more complicated but I am just hitting on the "highlights" of this most feastive season... And please excuse me, I am oh, just a little bit livid, because after 3 weeks at UVA my momma went to the ER again tonight,

Sorry just needed to vent a little, would love an ear and Happy New Year to you all. Today is also my son's 17th birthday!

Welcome to psycho-babble

I am sorry to hear of your loss.

No one posts pictures on this site so you don't need to be concerned about that.

There are several different forums at psycho-babble. This board is about psychiatric medications. There is also a grief board, where your post might be redirected. There is a also psychology board where people discuss therapy. The social board is for chat and fun. You can go to different boards by clicking on the links at the bottom of the page.

Regards

Ed

Damn, you are dealing with a lot. I'm sorry about your husand, and sorry that that had to happen in front of you. The trauma must be horrible. And I can sense that you are very angry about it. How is your son? Is it possible, do you think, that you and he would benefit from professional support? All of this has to be incredibly hard on him - its already so hard to be a 17 year old boy. And do you have other real-life support, family and such? And is your Momma's medical condition have passing or chronic? I feel for you, girl. Feel free to get it all out here, if that helps. You've found a safe place. Nobody will ever pester you for a picture, and when I came I was happy to have found generally unconditional support. We do hear you here.

This particular board is for medication related issues, so your post will probably be moved to another board, social or grief or whatever. They'll tell you where it went when they move it...

Happy New Year, New Widow. Try to take extra care of your self, as you care for your Momma. Time will pass, and with the proper help you and your son will improve and your lives can get back on track. Hard to imagine something like this all just getting better with time so be careful about relying on just time. And tell your son your new friends said sorry about his daddy and Happy Birthday. I have a son myself so have a soft spot for teen age boys.

That is horrible but the others are right . Grief is probably the best board. And no pictures required here. Fondly, Phillipa

Welcome to Babble, New Widow.

I'm very sorry for your loss and subsequent stresses.

As Ed and others mentioned, your post might be better suited for the Social board at this time. I'd like to redirect follow-ups to your thread there.
