Nardil.....well what can the world champ of Nardil say??!!!
I tell you guys, sometimes in the past when Nardil was only making me feel good (!!!!), not a mellow euphoria.....this was my mistake
1. I DIDN'T TAKE MY DOSES AT THE SAME TIME EACH DAY>>>>YOU MUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've notice now, and I've changed absolutely nothing else, when I take it religiously at the same time each day the euphoria is back!!!!!!!Exactly what happened when I started: I ALWAYS took it at the same time in 3 or 4 doses. Now its 45mg bid, 10 am on the dot and 5pm on the dot....
This has lasted as long as i continue strict dosing times.
But I emphasis....Nardil is just a God....even when it's "not working" for me, that mean I'm still feeling good, just not peak effects!!!!!
If Nardil replaced self-help books, all depressed patients would recover!!!!!!!!!!!! And self help books would....hmmmm......be less popular! But I am talking about THE CLINICALLY DEPRESSED here (as I have been diagnosed and suffered for years prior to Nardil)

I'm on 60mgs of Marplan, which doesn't seem to be doing a lot, but then I haven't been very careful about dose timing.
I was wondering if you could babblemail me your doctors name and address?
I live in the UK, but I'm so fed up with UK docs, would travel to Australia to find a decent doc!
Would like to travel to Australia anwyay!

Glad it works for you...IT used to work for me til they changed it...Was great for 20 odd years at 45 MG and then BOOM.Are you taking the Australian version? and alone or with something else?

I am all for success,please dont mistake that for a second.But i think its a little unfair that you praise the drug to be OVER HELPFUL it works for you perfectly and youre probuably responsable for people having the courage to try it and it work for them,,,,,
But lets not forget the people who it dident work for,its kinda like rubbing htere face in it,try to remember as much as it has worked for u there are people here me being one of them who did not do well on it.

Ace, what side effects did you have early in treatment? What side effects do you have now? Just curious.
I'm so glad to see when someone does so well. That's awesome! I know I've seen other people here though that didn't benefit from or couldn't tolerate Nardil.
Anyway, I was wondering about the side effects, early and late.

Ace, I agree with willyee and blueberry. Just because you were lucky enough to find something that works for you, doesn't mean it works for everyone. Everybody is different. Medicine would be a lot easier if we were all clones (and unfortunately there are lots of doctors in all fields who think we are). Cecilia

I deal with the following:
Major Depression - Nardil wipes it out
Social Phobia/Anxiety - Nardil wipes it out
Derealization phenomena with phobic anxiety: Nardil helps a lot
OCD- Nardil doesn't really help, I need antipsychotics for my OCD.
GAD: Nardil helps a lot

My doc (he is just a "normal doctor") is the most open minded, caring, sensible doctor I have had. He allows ME to choose the treatment, but only if it is safe and I have researched it. But ofcourse I am going to be a psychiatrist myself. But he is great!

All i can do is qoute the two psychiatrists (i forgot their names) One asked to the other...."is their anything more effective than Nardil?" The other answers "no, success rate of 95%...."Ace

Lots....anorgasmia...took ages to pass...bi sedation....dizzinesss...high BP....
What side effects do you have now? Just curious.None except passing of stools!

95%! Not even ECT has anywhere near that effectiveness rate. Who are these unnamed pdocs and what double blind controlled studies have they done? Cecilia (A Nardil failure)
