You should page your p-doc immediately if you still have a relation with a doctor. And as I mentioned in your following message. If you have propranolol in your arsenal of medicines you seem to have it is more effective for SS than Klonopin in terms of serotonin blockade. Klonopin is used in myoclonus (jerky muscles). If you have Ativan, it may lower your risk of seizures.
But only a trained ER can really treat severe SS with Cyproheptadine.

Don't take clonazepam. It causes an increase/release of serotonin, If I am not mistaken.
I was having serotonin syndrome, took some clonazepam, ended up in ER.
I would go to hospital, if you have not already.

Its actually one of the several drugs listed in Emedicine for mycoclonus. The peripheral transmitters of clonazepam are basically subclinical and by that point an individual would be on cyproheptadine (Periactin) anyway for a severe serotonin syndrome. Lorazepam can be used too, more for agitation. But his situation, which I assume has more than resolved by now is subclinical. And please get help from your doctor, these incidents, if I do say so myself, a cry for additional help. I don't know where you would have been prescribed Ultram but that is clearly obviously an error, if not gathered otherwise, and I'm not going to be accusatory, so I won't go there.

I just remember by doctor said I might have been experiencing SS on parnate. So he gave me some clonazepam and sent me to the ER. The clonazapam made the shivering, and sweating worse!
I thought it may have been related to clonazapam causing serotonin release.
But I could have been wrong.

I looked up drug interactions -- there has been limited information that Nardil and clonazepam has caused possible flushing reactions but the reason is unknown. Its a good reason to carry a drug list in your wallet or a medical bracelet with MAOIs in case of catastrophic injury.
