Need help,anyone on this combo,TIRED. Miss the old days,lots of energy most of the time.No one seems to know exactly what I have.Cycle every 6 wks, but severely. Docs say its not the norm. I'm thinking its the lex. The top.and lex. were added at same time.I know everyone responds differently to drugs, which is why I haven't been searching for answers anymore;but curious about anyone's knowledge. Thanks.

I'm not on that combo, but Lamictal and Lexapro both knocked me out on their own. Lamictal felt as though I couldn't initiate movement, just felt immobile. Lexapro was worse, in that I felt all sorts of energy -- but as though I was trapped inside myself. I could barely speak. Not a lot of fun.

Never tried Topomax.

Everyone reacts differently, but I can't believe I'm entirely unique in being sedated or immobilized on those two drugs.

Good luck.

Lexapro wired me and made my legs twitch. Fondly, Phillipa

Hi, I've been on the first 2 - this thread looks like we're playing a card game (go fish!).
I take both Lamictal (150mg) and Topamax (25mg for migraine) two hours before bedtime. Last night I tried to go without taking Ambien and had a rotten sleep. Very very tired, very very wired... which is how these meds make me feel. If I take Ambien to sleep I at least get past the wired part. The Lamictal has helped smooth out my hypomania, which is a Good Thing. The Topamax has all but eliminated the headaches.
For my depression I'm on 60mg of Cymbalta. It barely does the job but I can't tolerate a higher dose without my blood pressure going high. It's good enough, I guess.

Best of luck to you.

Hi Racie

>Lexapro

Did you suffer any similar side effects on Cymbalta?

Well, I was definitely lethargic and amotivated -- but some of that was residual depression, some was probably other drugs I was on, and some really was the Cymbalta. I have stopped it now, by the way. Thus, I'm depressed, but sleeping less. Not doing more, though. {sigh}

Pretty much all the serotinergic drugs I've taken have knocked me out. I'd love to try Stablon, to see if that would help, without knocking me out so much. {sigh} Cymbalta might have been worse than Effexor, but it's hard to remember...

How you doing, boyfriend?
