Ladies on Lexapro

Posted by sexylexy on December 31, 2005, at 17:47:55

Hey Ladies,
I have not posted in sometime but I am hoping you all will help me out. I took lexapro for about a year then got off, about about 6 weeks ago I got back on because of intense anxiety and fear of depression.
My problem is that I am about two weeks late for my period. I am married and am sexually active, we use the pullout method and it has been fine thus far. I have taken 5 pregnancy test which have all been neg. I have taken them from the day after my period was due all the way to 10 days after. I was wondering if lexapro had thrown anyone elses cycle off... I remember it did when I frist began it years ago but I (being anxious) am feaking myself out...Any support would be sooooo graciously accepted.

Thanks
Lexy

While it's difficult for me judge due to perimenopausal issues, I did note some delay when I began Lex and anxiety problems, in general, can throw cycle stuff off for me.

Maybe a drawn serum pregnancy test would be a good idea? Just to assure?

It's not too common but when I was on Lexapro, my periods were so off and I was on the pill. They weren't on exact time, they were heavier, longer and more painful. Supposedly this goes away the longer you take Lex.
