Hey all. I have been very depressed lately (suicidal) and so they have re-put me on olanzapine. I hope my tardive dyskinesia doesn't come back :( My Pdoc said its only going to be a temporary thing though (atleast I hope).
I had a choice of going on either a Phenothiazine or an Atypical. He suggested I go on the Phenothiazine. The two Phenothiazines that he wanted me to try were thioridazine or chlorpromazine. I think chlorpromazine is a horrible drug (for me anyway)! Makes me so sick, so I chose the olanzapine.
My Valproate levels came back on the high side of normal which is good, but my dr's always find it odd because I am only on 1000mg of it and I am a tall person.
He also increased my clomipramine.
So now I am on 200mg of clomipramine, 1000mg of valproate, 10mg of diazapam and 5mg of olanzapine.
I just hope It works :(
Take care all
Chris.

Hi Chris :-)
>I had a choice of going on either a Phenothiazine or an Atypical. He suggested I go on the Phenothiazine. The two Phenothiazines that he wanted me to try were thioridazine or chlorpromazine.
I'm glad you chose olanzapine. Thioridazine's not a good drug to combine with clomipramine because it's very anticholinergic. You might not be able to pee! Also, thioridazine + clomipramine can cause cardiac arrhythmias. Thioridazine's more likely to cause/worsen TD than olanzapine.
>5mg of olanzapine.....
I really hope it helps you :-)
>I just hope It works :(
Me too.

Thanks Ed *hugs*
Yea I was quite shocked he wanted to put me on a phenothiazine, especially with what they do to your heart and me being on a high dose of clomipramine. He is talking about going upto 400mg max. Its really scaring me now.
And again HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you legal drinking age in the UK or is it like it is here in Aus, which is 18.
Take care and lots of love
Chris

Hi Alien!

You probably won't need that much! It's rare for people to take more than 250mg. Will he monitor your ECG (EKG!!) and blood levels?
>And again HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL thank you :-D I'm all alone! I just ate some belgian truffles.

It's 18 here, a lot of people go to bars when they're 16 though.

Ed, The drinking age here used to be l8. When I was l6 I had a fake ID saying I was l8. And we went over the state line to drink. So it must have been NY that was l8. Now it's 2l. Fondly, PJO

Talking of our friend Zyprexa., I've been taking it for one week and I feel better. But I have tired eyes and have gained 4 Kg without apparently changing my diet. It must change how much we absorb and how much we excrete. In a word, metabolism

I hope i dont have to go over 200mg
I feel so dopey today on 200mg plus the zyprexa. I hope this wears off. I just feel, well very um relaxed lol.
I think I want an ECG done even If I dont go over 200, shouldnt I? I just probably worry to much.
lol its the same with pubs/clubs here. Its so easy to get into underage.
Take care

I wouldnt worry about the weight gain. I dont know. With me, I reach a certain point and then I just stop gaining weight on zyprexa, its weird.
I am HOPING I wont gain anything on 5mg.
Whats your dose?
Take care

Thanks I hoped that was true. In any case I'd prefer to be fat and happy. I take 2.5 mg
