So many have posted recently how much Luvox can help with anxiety, but how much does it help depression?

Hi,
Probably just as much as the other SSRIs. It's approved for depression in most countries, but not the US for some reason.

Thanks for the info.

I took Luvox for afew years for OCD, it definetly worked on my depression as far as SSRIs go. If you respond to SSRIs well and have OCD this drug works. During treatment with Luvox I recieved therapy for OCD and now have few symptoms related to OCD. SSRIs barely numb my depression. Luvox was the SSRI that made me the sleepiest so I would take it before bed, 300mg. 80mg. of prozac gave me the same OCD relief as 300mg. Luvox. No withdrawl symptoms with Luvox on 1 day discontinue.

First time around I too, had good results. And no W/D. On trying it again a few years ago, I couldn't tolerate the same doses. I think it's available here in generic. That's what was Posted. And yes, it did help with anxiety. Fondly, Phillipa

In England, we've got generic fluvoxamine and the brand too. It's called Faverin here, not Luvox.
